Children in Care (CIC)

Oakfield Park School follows the DfE guidance : The designated teacher for looked-after and previously looked-after children.

The designated teacher is Nicola Cryer - Deputy Headteacher.  

We work closely with carers, social workers and Wakefield's Virtual School to ensure our Children in Care achieve the best possible outcomes from their starting points.  

Each Child in Care has termly PEP meeting, a regular CiC meeting and an annual EHCP review.  This ensures the progress of our children in care is closely monitored and supported by a range of professionals.
